don’t work everyday – take time off to pursue your passions

Taking time off to pursue you passion pays off in spades. For the partners at Nimbletoad our passion in photography. Photography recharges our creativity and hones our inner eye for composition and form. From time to time we enter our images in exhibits and contests. It was a good year for the partners and the San Diego Fair. Collectively 9 of our images were shown and were awarded a first place and 4 honorable mentions. Below is the 1st place award winner for Black and White Architecture.

At Nimbletoad we take pictures. The executive team just got back from a creative retreat in the desert.

Sure enough, we made a major breakthrough today with one of our web apps. For the last week or two, we had been plagued by a particularly stubborn database relationship. I’m crediting the cracked soil in this image as the key to our solution.

Creativity? Where does it fit in?

So, if functionality is first, and relevancy is second, Where the hell does creativity fit in?

Simply. It doesn’t.

At least not in this chain. Creativity is the over-arching principle that guides.

It is creativity that guides our elegant, functional designs.

It is creativity that allows relevance to resonate.

Without creativity function would only be an idea, relevance only an abstract. It’s creativity that gives life.
